The European Commission is organising a high-level conference in Brussels following the evaluation of Regulation (EU) 2016/429 (Animal Health Law, AHL). The event marks 10 years since the AHL entered into force and 5 years since its application.

Bringing together policymakers, veterinary authorities, scientists, international organisations and stakeholders from across Europe and beyond, the conference will present the main findings of the evaluation, reflect on achievements and lessons learned, and discuss future priorities for strengthening EU animal health preparedness and resilience.

The programme will feature policy, scientific and stakeholder perspectives, interactive discussions, and forward-looking exchanges on the future of EU animal health.

The event will take place on 8 July 2026 in the Charlemagne Building.

The deadline for registrations is 03 July.
